Journey Ministries

Journey Ministries is the youth and young adult ministry at Winfield Nazarene. We exist to serve minister specifically to those between 6th grade and age 26 in our church and community, and their families. We have several different programs aimed specifically at the spiritual and developmental needs of junior high, high school, and young adult ages. We are constantly in the process of evaluating our existing programs and developing new programs to better meet the needs of our youth and their families.
We do our best to provide a variety of programs designed to help teens grow closer to Christ and learn how to live as a Christian today. We have programs that are designed for any teen to come and have fun and programs that are directed more toward those teens who desire to grow in their relationship with Christ. We have a group of adult leaders who are committed to our youth ministry and to the teens in our group. Our youth staff is committed to building relationships and sharing life with our teens. Our belief is that Christ is best made known through relationships, so we focus on building good relationships with teens and teaching about Christ that way.
cross.roads- Wednesday 6:30-8:00pm

Our main youth group time each week is cross.roads. cross.roads sometimes takes some different forms, but primarily it’s a youth worship service and small group time. Each Wednesday night we begin at 6:30 in the old sanctuary for a time of worship. This worship time may be a little bit different from time to time, as we try to allow for many different expressions and experiences of worship. Most of the time we’ll sing a few worship songs together and then hear a devotion. After that’s over (normally 45 minutes or so), we’ll break off to the teen rooms for a time of small groups. Most of the time these small groups talk about how the principles in the message apply to their every day lives, and how they can help one another live these things out from day to day.
