About Us

div

We are growing church that is passionate about reaching out to each other and our community for Christ. We strive to connect with each other, grow in our relationship with Christ and the body, and live our lives for him everyday. Everything our church does is aimed at glorifying Christ and reaching others for Him. We meet throughout the week in smaller setting to build relationships and minister to our community, and come together for a time of celebration and praise during our worship service on Sunday. Come worship with us to see what we're all about, and you may find a church to call your home.

Our History

The Winfield church was born out of a vision given by the Lord to Rev. Gary E. Hayes, brother of pastor John Hayes. It began in a tent revival September 4, 1983. From there in a storefront setting on Main Street in Winfield, WV a church was planted. It was officially organized June 3, 1984 with 16 charter members. The church moved to the current location at 2986 Winfield Road in 1985. Through several building expansions, it currently serves the congregation with a seating capacity of 500 in a beautiful setting on the banks of the Kanawha River. The Winfield Church offers many programs and ministries to the community and all of Putnam County.

Our doors are open to everyone!  We have areas for children, youth, and adults of all ages and backgrounds to grow in faith and love. We are people from every walk of life, coming together to grow in friendship and faith. Come worship with us and discover how our church can become your church home!

As the Church (the body of Christ) one main role is to connect with one another, lifting one another up and encouraging each other-

Growth takes many forms, whether growing closer to one another, growing as a human being, or growing in our relationship with Christ -Colossians 1:10

live.

This is simply the idea that Christ should be changing our lives every single day.  We are to take up our crosses daily to follow Jesus, living lives of self-sacrifice and radical love, that others might find Jesus - Luke 9:23
